We are a mixed religion family so we celebrate 2 religions worth of holidays! There is a major Easter egg hunt every year, from dollar bills to one very large bill for one lucky hunter! All the kids get 5 eggs, so hiding them is not a big necessity, although you see some up a tree. The bottom picture is the discards, after you take out the money, who needs the shell!
My poor son was not happy with his amount, so with enough complaining 2 donors showed up to boost his “take” so his mood did improve. Which reminds me to go to the laundry basket and get that money out of his pants pocket!
There was over 30 family members, that’s how I like my gatherings, the more the merrier. All the food was good, Aunt Fe’s eggplant stands out and my sister-in-laws mozzarella meatballs were also delish!
Afterwards the group was discussing the merits of happiness vs. having a lot of money – I’ll take both!
