I offered to go to the movies, I posted it on facebook, all I asked for was an agreement for no popcorn and soda. I didn’t say no snacks, just no soda or popcorn, we were going to the cheap movie before noon, too early for all that junk, and I got dissed! My plan backfired! He wouldn’t leave the house today! On school days, he goes straight to the playground, I stand on a foot of ice, I can’t get him to go home, and today he doesn’t want to go out. Go figure with these kids!
He said, wasn’t he nice to think about me, he was keeping us inside from the snow. Wow. And then the TV broke!
UPDATE
I had called customer service in Sri Lanka for my Sony Trinitron. That’s right, we will get a flat screen, the day before that becomes obsolete, not a minute sooner. (They do have 3D TV coming next.) I can’t believe they even have the manual on the Trinitron anymore! The guy told me that I needed a remote to change the channel on the TV to Channel 3, it was locked on the set on 13, only a universal remote could help. I am half dressed, now that my spouse is home, to run to Radio Shack because my RCN cable remote only handles sound and on/off for the TV.
My spouse promises to fix it after he eats dinner and I say, you can’t do it, we need a universal remote. Sometimes it does pay to be married (only sometimes!). Turns out, of the 5 other remotes we have sitting in the TV cabinet, one is specifically for the TV and he corrected the situation in 1/2 of a minute. I have too much on my mind to handle all these little details! He is an evil genius!
