I am a busy househusband, always on the go, from morning gossip sessions at the local gym with the other school moms, to shopping for dinner ingredients that I can later burn and serve to my family.
Thank goodness for the 2 DVRs we have in the house!
I generally watch Science Fiction and comdey, I have enough reality in my life, I don’t need to see more on TV.
I decided on todays topic because I was watching Nip/Tuck yesterday and thoroughly enjoy the madness that is this show – it is simply nuts, soapier than any soap opera coudl ever hope to be and as the cliche goes, just when you think it can’t get any crazier, it does. I enjoy that!
I think Glee is fabulous, I would usually find this type of show boring but it is so well done, feels like a palatable version of the movie, FAME.
Thursday eves there is Supernatural, a wonderful attempt at bring the devil to life, Fringe, an awesome otherworldy experience, and Flash Forward, a terrific new show that they will hopefully not ruin like Lost.
Friday is Ugly Betty, which is going steadily downhill, and Sanctuary, my SciFi show for the eve out of Canada with a new twist on the old mutant idea.
Saturday is Graham Norton, my old friend from England who had me dance have naked on an old episode (refer to earlier blogs).
Yes, it is faggy but I watch Desperate Housewives, just to support Mark Cherry!
Heroes is still enjoyable to me but they threw in a whole new story line that doesn’t feel like a good fit yet but the Sylar/Matt Parkman story line was excellent!
I like V, I am glad more SciFI has made it ito the mainstream the last few years as my fellow nerds get some buying power (again, refer to earlier blogs!) and I did love the earlier series and like a good nerd read all of the books.
Wed is comedy night, The New Adventures of Old Christine is great, I love Julia Louis-Dreyfus character! And she and Wanda Sykes a re great together (Hamish, too!)
Jay Mohr’s show is good and I am gay so i have to watch Modern Family, a show that offers a palatable GAY family for America to see with an adopted child – yes America we are having families in droves now! Thanksfully the skinny gay guy shares my real name and not the chubby one cause I couldn’t live that down!
