I have been to several of these types of events recently and they all have great features. This however is my favorite. And not because celebrities are all over the place!
I attended in the first place because I know a lot of my audience are expecting or new moms. Just like I was 9 years ago! The first time I joined Big City Moms for this “Shower,” I was thrilled to see the vendors of the products that I used when my son was an infant. I was scared as all hell when I adopted my son, I have never even diapered a baby before! Meeting the Dr. Brown baby bottle people was great because those were the bottles I used to keep my son eating and thriving. I used those on the advice of my sister-in-law who at the time was expecting her third child. That is how I and my baby survived, with the advice of others. That is another service provided Big City Moms!
Every time I attend this event I fawn all over the Enfamil people. That is what the hospital told me to use, so that’s what I used, and got samples galore since they were pushing breast feeding! That method did not work for us so 9 years ago it was all about Enfamil with Lipil, something that the label no longer says, but, since my son thrived, I will remember it as long as I live!
And we had to have an Italian stroller! We are big fans of everything to do with Italy, so we thought we would extend that to our baby purchases. Perhaps silly, but I have not read anything negative like with that Scottish brand! We had to have a Peg Perego when he was an infant. Did you know some first time parents get addicted to buying strollers? If I had a bigger home I might have had even more than the 3 we ended up with!
And of course that great new baby product company, The Honest Company, was represented by it’s star founder, Jessica Alba. What a crazy world where I get to be hanging out with her every few months! I am also working on a giveaway with her staff, so be on the lookout, the products are all natural and awesome, I know because my son is sensitive to everything and I look for just these types of items.
And of course it is always a pleasure to see a mom support her daughter (hence Susan Lucci’s t-shirt!) at these events and help out at the booth! Sage Spoonfuls provides all the tools you need to make healthy, delicious and affordable food for your baby. Living a homemade lifestyle has never been easier!
There were so many brands there, I cannot discuss them all. But again, it is a great event, better than going to the store and talking to salespeople, here you get to talk directly to the brands. I hope you can attend the next event!

Follow Big City Moms on Facebook and Twitter, you do not want to miss anything they have to say! And they have several events around the country and will hopefully one day expand to every major city in America!
Disclosure: I received a goody bag for attending the event, all the great baby products of which got donated to my neighbor, her new born, and her social work clients. All opinions are always 100% my own and honest.
