Today I had the honor today of attending an intimate blog event to talk about helping children across the globe. Thanks to www.nycsinglemom.com and mommyfactor.blogspot.com/
One topic of discussion was the reality of how biracial children are treated in other countries. In America we take fair treatment for granted. In some countries, biracial children are blamed for the sins of the parents and denied basic human services and education. I have many friends and family members that would stand out in other countries as biracial, so I wanted to bring this cause to light for my readers.
One institution that trys to help across the world is Pearl S. Buck International, founded of course by the famous authoress: http://www.pearlsbuck.org/.
This is a gentle ask/plea to get the word out, every child should have a equal chance in the world. Pass this info on to everyone you know, each in our own way can make a difference if we all take some action. And support anyone you know that adopts a child, whether domestically or internationally, that is one way we help all the worlds children!
